In this guide, we'll download and use a software phone. This guide assumes you have an account with The VoIP provider Freespeech. First, open a web browser, and type www.freespeech.co.uk into the address bar, and hit enter.

Click Help, then Downloads, then download the softphone, X-Lite.

Enter your name, and Freespeech username and password when asked. Hit next, and Finish

Run the softphone application, and enter the testing number to test.
