Locate a free LAN port on your router, and connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the port. The link lights on your router and video server will light, showing a physical connection has been established. Next is configuring the video server to get an IP address from the router. This will identify your video server on the network.

Step 6:

Insert the supplied CD into your PC's CD drive and run the IPEdit software

Insert the supplied CD into your PC's CD drive - it will run automatically. On this CD, you will find an application called IP EDIT which will enable you to locate the IP address of your video server and alter it, if necessary. Double-click the program to open it.

Step 7:

The IP camera is assigned an IP address from your router automatically via DHCP

In IPEDIT, you'll see your video server on the left. The video server is assigned an IP address from your router automatically. This IP address is visible in the third field on the right; make a note of it.

Open Internet Explorer and type
the video server's IP address.
Hit Enter
